Sample SEO report: Fixwell Handyman Services (demo)
This is a sample. We ran our $30 SEO report on our own demo site, Fixwell Handyman Services, a made-up business. The demo still has the sample text a kit buyer replaces, so several findings are about that sample text. Your report checks the same things on your real site.
Since this report: we fixed two findings in the kit itself the same day: the search description is now about 150 characters (item 6), and the booking page now has share-card lines (item 9). The report below shows the site as we found it on October 23, 2026.

Pages checked: 2 (home page, and the "Request a visit" booking page)
1. Summary
We checked 2 pages of the demo site on October 23, 2026. We found 4 must-fix items, 5 should-fix items and 3 nice-to-have items. The full list is in section 3.
Start with these three:
- Connect the quote form and the booking form, so requests reach you.
- Replace the sample phone number and email with your real ones.
- Before launch, remove the tags that tell search engines not to list the pages.
Already in good shape: the site loads over HTTPS and sends all 8 common security headers we check for; the home page has structured data for a local business and its questions section; every image has alt text and every form field has a label.
2. Scores
| Area | What we measured | Result | How we measured it | Date |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| On-page SEO | Average page score out of 100, 2 pages, test words "handyman Springfield" | 75 (home 78, booking 72) | Hardframe site SEO check (reads each page's code) | Oct 23, 2026 |
| Speed | Page weight of the home page | About 105 KB before fonts; up to about 350 KB if every font file loads | File sizes read from the live site | Oct 23, 2026 |
| Speed | Lighthouse speed score | Not checked | Lighthouse is not set up on our machines yet | Not checked |
| Security headers | Common headers present, out of 8 checked | 8 of 8 | Headers read from the live site | Oct 23, 2026 |
| Links | Broken in-page links | 0 of 8 | Link check script | Oct 23, 2026 |
| Basic accessibility | Basic checks passed, out of 5 checked | 5 of 5 | Script: page language, image text, form labels, skip link, button names | Oct 23, 2026 |
How to read this table:
- These scores come from the tools named in the table. Other tools can give other numbers.
- Speed changes with the device and network. Use it to compare before and after, not as a fixed grade.
- The on-page score is our own check's score. It is not a Google score.
3. Fix list
Ranked. Do the must-fix items first.
Must-fix
Problems that stop the page working for visitors or searchers, or leave out basics.
| # | Where | What we found | Why it matters | How to fix it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Home page and booking page | The quote form and the booking form are not connected to anything (the form's action is "#"). | A visitor can fill in the form, but the request goes nowhere. | Connect both forms to your email or form service (steps are in the kit README), then send yourself a test. |
| 2 | Both pages: header, contact section, footer | The phone number (417) 555-0123 and the email hello@example.com are sample details. | Calls and emails from the site reach no one. | Put your real phone and email everywhere they appear, including the tap-to-call link. |
| 3 | Home page, reviews | The reviews are signed "Placeholder Name, Nearby Town". | Made-up reviews mislead customers, and the FTC's rule on consumer reviews bans fake ones. | Use real reviews from real customers, with their OK, or remove the section until you have some. |
| 4 | Both pages | Both pages tell search engines not to list them: a "noindex" tag in the page and an X-Robots-Tag header. On our demo this is on purpose. | A live business site with this tag will not show up in search results. | Remove the noindex tag and header before launch. |
Should-fix
Problems that make the site harder to find, use or trust.
| # | Where | What we found | Why it matters | How to fix it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 | Home page | The page title ("Fixwell Handyman Services — Home Repairs, Installs & Punch Lists") and the main heading ("The to-do list, done.") do not name the town. The words "handyman Springfield" appear nowhere on either page. | People search by trade and town. The title and main heading are the strongest places to say both. | Example title: "Fixwell Handyman Services | Handyman in Springfield, MO". Keep the friendly heading and add a line under it with your trade and town. |
| 6 | Home page | The search-result description is 199 characters. | Long descriptions are often cut short in search results. | Trim it to about 150 characters and keep "free estimate" in it. |
| 7 | Home page | The trust lines "4.9★ from local reviews", "Licensed & insured" and "Same-week scheduling" are sample text. | Every claim on the page has to be true for your business. | Keep only the lines that are true for you. Use your real rating, or remove it. |
| 8 | Home page | The top photo is marked "Sample photo for this demo only." | A sample photo tells visitors nothing about your work. | Use a photo of your own work, or the original artwork included with the kit. |
| 9 | Both pages | On the home page, the share-card picture and page-address lines (og:image, og:url) are in the code but switched off, waiting for your web address. The booking page has no share-card lines at all. | When someone shares a page, it shows without a picture. | Switch on the home page lines with your own address and picture, then copy them to the booking page and change the title and description. |
Nice-to-have
Small improvements. Do them when you have time.
| # | Where | What we found | Why it matters | How to fix it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | Both pages | Neither page has an active canonical tag (the line that names the page's main address). On the home page the line is there but switched off, waiting for your address. | It helps search engines pick one address when the same page can be reached more than one way. | Switch the line on with your own address, and add one to the booking page. |
| 11 | Booking page | The page has about 200 words. | A short page is fine for a form, but a line about what happens next helps visitors. | Add one or two lines: when you will call back, and which towns you serve. |
| 12 | Both pages | The font file list names 5 font files (about 240 KB if a browser loads all of them). | Fewer files load faster on phones. | Keep the weights the design uses and drop the rest. |
4. What we did not check, and what happens next
We did not check: a Lighthouse speed score, color contrast, keyboard-only use, tap sizes, a Google Business Profile (that is a separate service), backlinks or search rankings.
On a real report, you reply to the report to have us apply any of the fixes. We quote it first, and nothing starts until you say yes.
What this report is not
- It is not legal advice, and it is not tax advice.
- It is not a legal review of accessibility law, and it is not a certificate of any kind. The accessibility part is a short set of basic checks.
- It is not a security test. We read the headers the site sends from outside. We did not try to get into anything.
- It does not promise rankings, traffic, calls or customers. Search engines make their own decisions.
- It does not include backlink data or keyword rank data.
- It is a look at October 23, 2026. If the site changes, the findings can change.
- Automated tools catch only part of what can be wrong. A clean result on one check does not mean nothing else is wrong.
- We did not change the site. We looked at public pages only.
